Last year we asked Affiliated Providers who perform certain healthcare services in day-stay facilities and procedure rooms to make sure their facilities are registered and comply with the appropriate facility standards before 21 July 2015.
Since sending out a reminder, we’ve had a flurry of certificates sent in – it’s good to see so many facilities now meet these standards. New Affiliated Providers need to have a certificate to confirm that their facility has been audited and meets the appropriate standards before their Affiliated Provider agreement starts.
Extensions will be given on a case-by-case basis, so providers should contact their Southern Cross Contract Manager if they have any questions. There are some exceptions for oral surgery, ophthalmology rooms-based procedures, and vasectomy procedures. Please contact your Contract Manager if you have any questions.
If the certification process for your facility has been completed, please send a copy of the certificate to your Contract Manager as soon as possible.
If you have not yet obtained the certificate, please contact your Contract Manager to update them on the status of the certification process.
For further information about the audit process and certification, please contact one of the following Designated Auditing Authorities (DAA).
