How do I request prior approval?

You can request prior approval through My Southern Cross or contact our Claim Approvals team.

You need to do this at least five working days before the healthcare service is scheduled to take place.

You don’t need to request prior approval if your healthcare service is provided by an Affiliated Provider, as they organise this with us on your behalf. You can check Healthcare finder to see if your provider is listed or get in touch with them to confirm.
