If you're seeing an Affiliated Provider and they have organised prior approval on your behalf, they will also claim on your behalf. However, you’re still responsible for paying your provider any outstanding costs if our contribution does not cover the full cost of the healthcare service.
If you have prior approval and are not seeing an Affiliated Provider, they may be happy to invoice you, allowing you to submit a claim with the invoice so we can pay the provider directly (please ensure you tick the relevant boxes on the claim for this). However, you’ll still be responsible for paying your provider any outstanding costs if our contribution does not cover the full cost of the healthcare service.
If this is a day-to-day service like a dental visit or physiotherapy, check if your provider has Easy-Claim to claim for eligible healthcare services at the time of purchase.
For all other healthcare services, or where your provider does not offer Easy-Claim, it’s likely you’ll need to pay straight away and then submit a claim for the costs. The quickest way to claim is online through the app or My Southern Cross.
