FAQs and quick answers

What are cookies and why do you use them?

A cookie is a short piece of data or information which is sent from a website to a web browser when that browser visits the server’s site. The cookie is stored on the user’s machine, but it is not a programme and cannot do anything to the machine. See our cookies policy for how Southern Cross uses cookies.

Most browsers will allow you to select www.mysoutherncross.co.nz as a “Trusted Site” in your security settings. This lets you specify websites where cookies can be enabled, rather than turning them on for all sites.
