What do I need to provide when submitting a claim?
We need a copy of your itemised receipts or invoices. These need to include the date your healthcare service took place, the name of the provider and the name of the person being treated.
If you’re taking a photo of your receipt for online claiming, please make sure the image is clear and easy to read and all the information we need is visible. We can’t accept EFTPOS or credit card receipts.
Policyholders can claim online in My Southern Cross, use the mobile app, or download and post us a paper claim form. If you post us your claim, we recommend you keep a copy of the invoices and receipts. The policyholder needs to sign the claim form.
On average we process claims within 7 working days of receiving them. Your claim will take longer to reach us if you send it by post.
