Secure file transfer - Kiteworks
Getting started guide
Welcome to the Southern Cross Health Society Secure file transfer (Kiteworks). Kiteworks allows you to send and receive files securely with business contacts within our organisation. The purpose of this guide is to help get you started. The full user guide is located within Kitewoks.
Registering contact
Southern Cross business contact sends you a file. When you click the access files button in the email you have received, you will be directed to the kiteworks website and be prompted to create an account with your email address and a password. Once this is done your registration is complete.
Logging in
If you are already registered to use Kiteworks, you can log into the web interface using your email address and password.
Receiving files
If you are sent a file via Kiteworks you will receive an email notification containing a secure link. Click on the access file button in the email. If this is your first time using Kiteworks, you will first be asked to register. This is a quick automated process that includes verifying ownership of your email address. If you are already registered, then enter your email address and password when prompted. If you want to look at the file again, you can log in to Kiteworks and view all of the files you have saved. It is important to note that all files saved in Kiteworks have a termination date so it is advisable to keep a copy saved to your local system.
Sending files
Aside from receiving files, Kiteworks can also allow users to send files back. If you send attachments that contain personal, financial or confidential information, please contact the person who has been sending you files to discuss if this solution meets your need.
You can send individual files up to 10GB in size. Once you have composed your email and attached a file, hit the Send button. Your file will first be uploaded to Kiteworks, and then your email will be sent along with a secure link to the file. You will be sent a notification email when your file is downloaded. You can keep track of sent and received files in your Kiteworks web interface.
