FAQs and quick answers

What is the minimum age to apply for health insurance?

You need to be 18 years old to apply for your own health insurance policy. If you are under 18, and a parent or guardian has a Southern Cross health insurance policy, you may be able to be added to their policy until you turn 21. You can also apply for your own policy when you are 16 if a parent or guardian form is completed as part of your application.
