We’ve recently launched an app for iOS and Android devices that makes it easy for your patients to claim while out and about. The app was launched in February last year for members with a Health Essentials policy, but following member demand it has been expanded to all policy types.
Head of Product & Marketing Chris Watney says the decision to expand the app was an easy one.
“When we launched the app last year it was a first for New Zealand health insurers and a big step forward in our levels of digital service. “While the app was aimed at targeting a specific group of our membership, we quickly saw that our members with other policies had also downloaded the app. “We’re always looking for ways to improve member experience and since the demand was there we started working on how to expand the app to work on all policy types.”
The My Southern Cross app allows policyholders to make medical claims on the go, review annual benefit balances, and functions as a virtual Member card.
