Online GP consults

If it’s outside of your family GP practice hours, or you’re unable to get to your family GP, you can access CareHQ online GP consults from 7am-10pm, seven days a week, free of charge, when booked through the MySouthernCross app*.

Online nurse consults

Members can now book CareHQ online nurse consults for UTIs (urinary tract infections), STIs (sexually transmitted infections) and sick notes up to seven days, available 9am-5pm, Sunday-Friday. This is also free of charge when booked through the MySouthernCross app*.

Sign-up to MySouthernCross Prize Draw Terms and Conditions - June 2026

Signing-up to MySouthernCross using the web portal or mobile app during the promotional period set out below constitutes entry into the promotion (“Prize Draw”) and acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. The promotional period is from 23 June till 23 July 2026.
2. To enter the Prize Draw you must be a Southern Cross Medical Care Society (“Southern Cross”) member (16 years and over) and register for MySouthernCross through the MySouthernCross web portal or the mobile application during the Promotional Period. All existing and new Southern Cross members aged 16 years and over who register for MySouthernCross during the Promotional Period will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw (“Eligible Entry”).
3. Each Eligible Entry will receive one entry into the Prize Draw.
4. The Prize Draw will take place on 29 July. The Prize winners will be drawn at random from the Eligible Entries. The first drawn winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra mobile handset, as advertised on its own, without a mobile operator plan or contract, valued at up to $2,500 (the “Prize”). Prize winner will be notified by email and/or telephone.
5. If a Prize winner is not reasonably able to be contacted within 7 days of the Prize Draw, the Prize won by the original Prize winner will be forfeited, and another winner will be drawn for that Prize.
6. The administrator of the Prize Draw is Southern Cross.
7. Southern Cross’ decision is final.
8. If Southern Cross cannot run the Prize Draw as planned, Southern Cross may extend the Promotional Period or postpone or cancel the Prize Draw. In each case, a notice will be posted at www.southerncross.co.nz/society/terms-and-conditions
9. To the extent permitted by law, Southern Cross makes no warranty or guarantee in relation to the Prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude any liability under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 or any other statutory rights that the Prize winner may have in relation to the Prize.
10. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Southern Cross (and its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or injury arising in any way in connection with the Prize Draw or acceptance or use of any Prize.
11. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash. Southern Cross may substitute the Prize or any portion of the Prize with an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice.
12. Staff, contractors or agents of Southern Cross branded businesses and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win the Prize Draw.
13. Personal information collected in relation to the Prize Draw will be held by Southern Cross Medical Care Society, Level 1, Te Kupenga, 155 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010. Subjects of personal information have the right to access and request correction of any personal information held about them in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
