Can I claim the cost of a scooter ride booked through a micromobility sharing service under the travel and accommodation allowance?
Scooter ride shares are not included. While the benefit includes car ride-sharing services, it does not include micromobility share services, such as Lime scooters. To be eligible for cover under the travel and accommodation allowance, the healthcare service must not be available in your hometown or city and you must be required to travel more than 100km away from your home (within New Zealand) to receive the eligible healthcare service.
