Southern Cross Health Society appoints Jordan Levesque as Chief Legal Officer
Southern Cross Health Society has appointed Jordan Levesque as Chief Legal Officer, effective 23 October 2026.
Jordan currently serves as Head of Legal and Governance and has played a pivotal role in strengthening governance practices across the Society, providing strategic legal advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, and supporting a range of significant business initiatives.
The appointment recognises Jordan's outstanding contribution to Southern Cross Health Society and his leadership of the Society's legal and governance functions.

He is an exceptional lawyer, but just as importantly he is a collaborative leader who earns trust through his integrity, pragmatism and focus on doing what's right for our members and our business.
“Since taking on leadership of the Legal and Governance function, Jordan has made a significant contribution to the Society. He has helped strengthen our governance practices, supported major strategic initiatives and become a trusted adviser to both the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
“I am delighted to appoint Jordan as Chief Legal Officer and look forward to his continued contribution as we deliver on our purpose of enabling healthier lives for New Zealanders.”
In his new role, Levesque will lead the Society's legal, governance, remediation functions and provide strategic counsel on regulatory, governance and commercial matters.
Before joining Southern Cross Health Society, Levesque held senior legal and governance roles at Westpac New Zealand and practised law with Chapman Tripp. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, and a Master of Laws from the University of British Columbia.
Levesque’s appointment follows the announcement current General Counsel and Risk Officer, Laura Valiant, will leave Southern Cross Health Society on 23 October 2026.
