Tuesday , 16 May 2017 by Janine Kendall

Chris WhiteSouthern Cross has appointed Chris White to lead its Travel Insurance business, taking up the role earlier this month.

Following roles at Carter Holt Harvey, Rank Group and AMP Financial Services, White most recently spent four years as Managing Director of Spicers Portfolio Management, an AMP-owned business.

White says Southern Cross Travel Insurance is a solid business with a lot of potential.

“I’m delighted to be joining the Southern Cross group and excited about the opportunity to refocus and grow the travel business.”

Chairman Greg Gent says White will bring considerable experience in business leadership, strategy and governance to the role.

“He is also a strong advocate for developing people and culture. This complements his absolute focus on understanding the needs of the customer and importance of brands and value propositions.”

White will head up Southern Cross Benefits Limited, which incorporates the group’s Pet and Travel Insurance businesses.

White replaced Craig Morrison, who left the business earlier this year.
