What happens after I submit my application?

We’ll send you a confirmation email to confirm that your application has been received and we’ll contact you if we need any further information.

If your application is accepted, you'll get a second email with a link to register for My Southern Cross so you can view your Welcome Pack. It’s important to read your Welcome Pack carefully as it details the specific terms and conditions of your policy including your policy start date. If you don’t register for My Southern Cross we’ll post you your Welcome pack after 21 days.

If you have applied for Cancer Assist or Critical Illness, your Welcome Pack will be posted to you and cannot be viewed in My Southern Cross.

You have 14 days after you’ve received your Welcome Pack to review the policy details and to cancel your policy if you’ve changed your mind.

If you haven't received your confirmation email within 24 hours, or your Welcome Pack email within 3 to 5 business days, please contact us on 0800 100 305 Monday to Friday.
