Southern Cross Health Insurance announces appointment of new Chief People and Strategy Officer

Aligned with its commitment to its people, Southern Cross Health Insurance is proud to announce the appointment of Cath Lomax as Chief People and Strategy Officer.

With over 20 years’ experience predominantly in the financial services sector, Cath has enjoyed a varied career which has encompassed sales, strategy, and client services.

Lomax joins Southern Cross after more than four years as Chief Client Officer at Fisher Funds, where she was responsible for growing and leading the client facing, advice, and operations teams.

Cath’s background also saw her serve as General Manager – People at Bank of New Zealand, responsible for the creation and embedding of a people strategy for the risk, finance, strategy and transformation, insurance and wealth, and people teams. During her tenure, Lomax developed a senior female leader mentoring programme and also led the delivery of a staff banking proposition based on a human-centric design approach.
