Cover for cancer treatment

Over 3,000 members claimed for cancer related (oncology) consultations last year. The likelihood of a member claiming for cancer-related treatment increases for those over the age of 40. The claims we receive include the following healthcare services:

Oncology consultations $100 to $520 (per
consultation)
Chemotherapy $100 to $11,000 (per
single treatment)
Close

Chemotherapy costs displayed are for a single treatment only and don’t reflect the cost of a full course of treatment. The full cost of a course of chemotherapy treatment will vary depending on the type of cancer that is being treated, the length of treatment required, and the type of drugs used / dosage required.

Radiotherapy $7,500 to $33,000
Mastectomy $5,500 to $24,600
Breast reconstruction $9,400 to $74,700

Our health insurance plans include a range of benefits that provide cover for cancer treatment including specialist consultations, chemotherapy treatment, diagnostic imaging and tests, radiotherapy and surgical procedures. We also have options available to add more cover for cancer treatment to a new or existing health insurance plan.
