Do your patients use My Southern Cross?

My Southern Cross alerts the member when we’ve received their claim and when we’ve processed it, for both Affiliated Provider and fee-for-service claims. Members can also see their claims assessment advice online, switch off paper for their policy communications, and change some personal preferences. When Southern Cross members claim online, they must tick a box and agree to the Privacy Declaration. This gives us the authorisation to seek any additional information we may require to process their claim.

Please attach EFTPOS receipts carefully

Occasionally, we have to follow up with providers and members when we receive a scanned invoice through the My Southern Cross secure online service with an EFTPOS receipt covering important information. It can be difficult and hold up payment while we track down the information we need to process the claim.

We’ve asked members who scan their invoices to make sure all the details of their treatment are visible. We’ve also added a feature to the website which alerts members about EFTPOS receipts when they are claiming. However, we would appreciate it if you could attach the EFTPOS receipt to a blank section of the your patient’s invoices so it does not cover up the information we need to process the claim.
