Doctors Martin Misur and Arthur Morris have been appointed as Trustees of the Southern Cross Health Trust and Directors of Southern Cross Hospitals Limited.

Southern Cross Health Trust is a Charitable Trust and the owner of Southern Cross Hospitals Limited - New Zealand’s largest private hospital network. Chairman, Greg Gent, says the appointment of Drs Misur and Morris to the Board ensures continuity of medical expertise and knowledge of the health sector, coupled with broad commercial experience.

Dr Morris is an Auckland-based clinical microbiologist who also works with the Health Quality and Safety Commission as a Clinical Lead. He is a current director of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare and a former Chief Executive of Diagnostic Medlab.

Dr Misur is a Specialist Anaesthetist at Auckland City Hospital and in private practice at Epsom Anaesthetic Partnership. His subspecialty interests include anaesthesia for hepatobiliary / upper gastrointestinal surgery and solid organ transplantation.
