Now at registered Pharmacies you can use your Member card as part of the new Southern Cross Health Society Easy-claim ("Easy-claim") process.
Simply present your Member card at the counter and if your plan covers prescriptions and your prescription qualifies, we'll take care of the rest. This means no more filling out claim forms or waiting for refunds.*

What is my Member card number?
Your Member card number can be located on your card. It is the 16 digit number which starts with 6101 XXXX XXXX XXXX.
However if you do not have your card with you, or have misplaced it, you will need to talk to Southern Cross on 0800 800 181 about having a replacement sent.
What is my membership number?
Your membership number can be found on your Member card. If you do not have your Member card handy then you will need to contact Southern Cross on 0800 800 181.
Is my policy one that can make pharmacy claims?
For specific details on your policy you will need to contact Southern Cross. However the following policies have pharmacy benefits:

- RegularCare Budget

- Surecare Concessionary
- Wellbeing plans with Day-to-day care or Healthy Workplace modules

If the system was unavailable how do I claim?
You will need to keep a hold of your receipts and claim manually via filling out a claims form. If you have any questions about manual claiming please contact 0800 800 181.
How soon will Southern Cross pay my claim?
When your Southern Cross Health Society Easy-claim is processed, your receipt will confirm how much Southern Cross will pay. This amount will be paid to the pharmacy direct overnight.
Will the Easy-claim process expand to other services?
Southern Cross has plans to use Easy-claim with other health related service providers.

Southern Cross Health Society Easy-claim: Your Member card is an accepted means of identification to electronically claim for qualifying healthcare products and services at selected health service providers. When you use you Member card to electronically claim for qualifying healthcare products and services for you (or any other person names on the policy) Southern Cross Medical Care Society will deem this to be a claim under your policy, and you authorise Southern Cross Medical Care Society to process the claim in accordance with your policy coverage (or the policy coverage for the other person named on the policy) and pay the selected health service provider direct. The policyholder will receive all communications from Southern Cross Medical Care Society in relation to each electronic claim. Some prescription items may not qualify for Easy-claiming and will therefore need to be paid for by the member directly to the pharmacy.
