Care Advantage core services

Care Advantage can adapt its services to meet your requirements. Currently, we look after more than 40,000 employees throughout New Zealand. Our core services include:

Claims management

We provide an end-to-end service, including claims lodgement and closure, initial contact and needs assessments, assessments of weekly compensation and other entitlements.

  • Experienced – we have a highly knowledgeable, experienced team of claims administrators who make it easy for you to manage the administration of work-related injuries.
  • Proactive and fast - within 24 hours the claim is processed and within 48 hours we will make initial contact with the claimant.

Case management

Where a rehabilitation need is identified, an experienced care manager is appointed within 48 hours.

  • Face-to-face contact – a care manager will arrange a face-to-face meeting with the injured worker within 7-14 days. This meeting allows us to develop a rehabilitation plan - in consultation with the employer – that will assist the injured employee’s return to work in a safe and timely manner.
  • Quality-driven - our care managers provide a quality-driven service and have in-depth knowledge of legislation and rehabilitation related to workplace injuries.
  • Legal guidance – in a dispute situation, our medico-legal expertise allows us to provide support.

Reporting and administration

We have a custom-built injury management system which gives us the ability to:

  • provide timely and accurate reports to employers and ACC
  • customise reports to meet the needs of the client
  • automate the monitoring of workload timeframes
  • make prompt payment to providers.

CarePathways

Care Advantage has developed proprietary CarePathways, which are treatment and duration guidelines covering 130 of the most common injuries. Our care managers use these pathways to achieve positive rehabilitation outcomes in the most appropriate timeframe.
