A financial boost so you can concentrate on getting better
Critical Illness is complementary to health insurance. You must be an existing Southern Cross member with a health insurance policy to take up this plan.
What is Critical Illness?
The Southern Cross Critical Illness plan pays a one-off lump sum to give you a financial boost if you are diagnosed with a qualifying critical illness event (such as cancer or stroke).
You can spend the cash on anything you like. For example – mortgage repayments, home modifications, care costs or overseas travel.
Why Critical Illness?
When you are recovering from a serious illness, you have more on your plate than just caring about medical bills. Other aspects such as recuperation, financial stability and reducing stress as much as possible at a worrying time are vital to your wellbeing.
With Southern Cross Critical Illness you simply choose the level of cover you want: $20,000, $50,000 or $100,000 and this is what we pay you in the event that you suffer a qualifying critical illness event and survive for 14 days.
