A survey examining New Zealanders' health has found some interesting regional differences, especially in the areas of alcohol consumption and work-life balance.
The TNS survey of 1000 people was conducted for the not-for-profit Southern Cross Healthcare Group to coincide with its 50th anniversary of looking after the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
The survey examined a wide range of health aspects at both a national level and in our six largest cities. The findings are summarised in the following stories:
Is living in Auckland bad for your health?
Hamiltonians enjoy low stress but could improve on diet and alcohol
Tauranga is one of New Zealand's healthiest cities
Wellingtonians are least stressed but the biggest drinkers
Christchurch residents - understandably - are the most stressed in the country
Dunedin enjoys a healthy glow
