Southern Cross Medical Care Society members have re-elected Chairman Jeff Todd and Director, Dr Harley Gray at the Annual General Meeting in Auckland this morning.

Both Mr Todd and Dr Gray retired by rotation and were re-elected unopposed. The members also elected Dr Doug Baird who was appointed as a Director in June following the retirement of former Chairman, Dr John Matthews.  Mr Todd and Carole Durbin were also elected unopposed as Trustees of the Society.

KPMG has been reappointed as auditors for the year ended 30 June 2008.

98% of voting members also approved a Special Resolution to change the Society’s Rules with the effect that the annual report, annual accounts, balance sheet and auditor’s report will be available to members by September 15 of each year and the annual meeting will be held in November. The Rule changes also require members wanting to bring  business before the Annual General Meeting to give notice in writing to the Secretary no later than 7 October preceding the meeting.
